Urban freight is choking our cities

Emissions from delivery traffic will increase by 32% and congestion by over 21% in the Top 100 cities globally until 2030. In London, 29% of harmful emissions come from freight vehicles contributing to the estimated 9,400 premature deaths each year.

Increasing regulatory pressure

City authorities are using planning regulations (Section 106) and controlled emissions zones such as ULEZ, to tackle pollution and congestion in cities. The scope of corporate reporting requirements for businesses is ever increasing.

Increase in vehicle numbers

Supplier deliveries of consumables to offices and mixed use developments are rapidly increasing. The environmental downside - more freight vehicle trips, adding to pollution and congestion in our cities.
